Although our backgrounds are different — spanning healthcare, entrepreneurship, athletics, performance, and nutrition — we all experienced firsthand the challenges of navigating a healthcare system that can often feel fragmented, reactive, and difficult to access. Like many people, we found ourselves searching for better answers, better support, and more personalized approaches to recovery, wellness, and long-term health.
Those shared experiences became the foundation for OptymHealth.
We created OptymHealth to make modern, patient-centered care more accessible through advanced diagnostics, personalized wellness strategies, and physician-guided therapies designed to support recovery, performance, longevity, energy, vitality, metabolic health, and overall quality of life.

Norman Bentley
Co-Founder
I've been an entrepreneur my whole adult life. Over the last forty-plus years I've built businesses in film, casino gaming, online credit processing and much more. Different worlds, all of them brutal in their own way. I've had wins, I've had losses, and I've learned more from the losses than I ever did from the wins. But honestly, none of that is the reason I'm part of this clinic.
Somewhere in my 50s I looked in the mirror and didn't love what was looking back. I had spent decades pouring everything into building companies, and somewhere along the way I had stopped building myself. I was tired more than I should have been. I didn't feel like me.
So I made a decision. I was going to compete in bodybuilding. Not talk about it. Not "get back in shape." Actually step on a stage.
If you've never trained for a show, I'll just tell you straight, it's harder than anything I ever did in business. Every meal, every workout, every hour of sleep matters. You can't fake your way through it. And doing it in your 50s, when most guys my age have made peace with feeling and looking worse every year, is a whole different animal.
I did it anyway. And the man who walked off that stage was in better shape, sharper, and more alive than the version of me at 30.
That experience is the whole reason I'm here. I know what it feels like to want your energy back. To want to look in the mirror and actually like what you see. To be successful on paper but quietly know your body is letting you down. I lived it. And I know how hard it is to find real help, not gimmicks, not watered-down advice.
That's what we built this clinic to be. A place where you get treated like a serious adult, given a real plan, and worked with by people who actually understand what you're trying to get back. If any of that sounds familiar, you're in the right place. I've been where you are.
Dominick Cardone

I started bodybuilding at 16 years old. Most kids that age are figuring out who they want to be. I already knew, that was to become a professional bodybuilder and master nutritionist. I competed successfully throughout my teenage years. At 21, I won the heavyweight class at the 2014 NPC Nationals and earned my IFBB Pro card, the youngest heavyweight to ever do it. I should have been at the start of a long pro career.
Later down the line I started to experience health issues. It took years to figure out what was wrong. Years of pushing through, of being told my labs were "normal" while I knew something was seriously off. Eventually I got the answer: mercury poisoning. And it ended my competitive career. That experience is what made me the coach I am today.
When you spend years feeling broken while every doctor tells you you're fine, you stop accepting the surface-level answer. You learn how to actually read a blood panel and beyond, not just glance at what's flagged in red, but understand what the numbers are really saying about someone's hormones, their thyroid, their metabolism, their recovery. You stop letting "within range" pass for healthy. Because "within range" is what almost cost me everything, and possibly my life.
I've been coaching for 15 years. I've taken countless men to earn their IFBB pro cards and rebuilt thousands more along the way. Competitors getting ready for the stage, men of all walks of life who feel like a shell of who they used to be, men in their 40s and 50s who've been quietly told for a decade that how they feel is just aging. I've seen what's actually going on under the hood, in just about every form it shows up. I truly believe every human should have access to quality medical care, lab work and medications. This is why we have formed OptymHealth.

As a physician who has personally navigated significant health challenges — including surgeries, autoimmune disease, and long-term recovery — Dr. Joe understands firsthand how profoundly health can affect every aspect of a person's life.
Those experiences provided a perspective that extended beyond what he had encountered through traditional healthcare alone. Even with access to conventional healthcare, he found himself exploring a variety of wellness strategies and therapies to support his own recovery, quality of life, and overall well-being.
Through his medical background and personal health journey, Dr. Joe developed a deep appreciation for the challenges many individuals face when seeking healthcare options that align with their personal goals, needs, and circumstances. His experiences reinforced the belief that access to healthcare resources, information, and wellness-focused approaches can play an important role in helping people pursue healthier and more fulfilling lives.
These experiences ultimately led him to become a founding investor alongside friends and colleagues who shared similar health journeys and a common belief that healthcare should be more accessible, personalized, and focused on improving quality of life.
